Maternity care that honors your mind, body & spirit.
The Midwives Model of Care™ is a fundamentally different approach to pregnancy and childbirth than contemporary obstetrics. I support the 'Midwives Model of Care' which is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth are normal life processes. The application of this woman-centered model of care has been proven to reduce the incidence of birth injury, trauma, and cesarean section.
I provide 45 minute prenatal visits on a regular schedule. This means you have extra time to talk about important topics with me regarding your life, health and wellness. My clients have access to referrals for all the same lab tests, screenings and ultrasounds that are normally recommended for pregnancy.
Clients have the option of giving birth at home, using various comfort measures such as waterbirth. I monitor vitals regularly during labor and I’m trained with birth emergency skills for out of hospital settings.
PP & Newborn
I believe that early postpartum care is important for the health and well being of families. I offer a 24-48 hr home visit and 4 office visits, to monitor vitals on mother and baby, help with infant feeding and postpartum recovery. For homebirth clients, I am able to file the birth certificate and do all recommended newborn screenings.
Prenatal Care Only
If you want to give birth at the hospital, but would like a Midwife to care for you during your pregnancy, I offer in-home (for certain zip codes) and office appointments. I offer self-pay, cash pay and insurance billing options. Please call for special pricing.

BILLING & INSURANCE INFORMATION
As an Independent Contractor of Well Rounded Momma, I have the ability to set up individual fees for midwifery services and agree to payment terms that fit me and my client's needs. Whatever fee is agreed upon can be paid in payments by 36 weeks, paid all up front or billed to insurance. I offer hardship discounts, varied payment plans and work with a billing service for all of our insurance paying clients.
To verify whether or not your insurance will cover a portion of your midwifery fees, please make sure you bring a copy of your driver's license, insurance card and the primary cardholder's information.
If you decide you would like to bill your insurance for prenatal and birth care, we are able to bill your insurance for you.
Well Rounded Momma is In-Network with Blue Cross Blue Shield. For all other insurance companies, Midwives are considered an Out-Of-Network Provider. Which means HMO's will not likely cover any midwifery services [including Medicaid, HPN & Tricare]. But, if you have a PPO or POS plan, they might cover a portion of your care.
I suggest that if you want to try billing your insurance for midwifery care, first obtain an insurance verification. Many people prefer to do this after a Midwife Consultation.
Any deductibles or copays are collected prior to your 36 week visit. All Midwifery services mentioned are billed as a global fee*, which means even if you needed care from an outside provider, or transferred to a hospital for delivery, the global fee does not change and is billed to your insurance as normal.
*Global services are also known as total maternity care or global maternity services/care. For services rendered during the maternity period, insurance providers or cash pay clients, pay a global fee for prenatal care, false labor, delivery, and postnatal services.
